Stearic acid, also know as Octadecanoic acid, is nature's most common long-chain
saturated fatty acid. Stearic acid is derived from animal and vegetable fats and is found in many foods. Unlike most saturated fats, stearic acid does not seem to increase cholesterol
levels in the blood because liver enzymes convert it to an unsaturated fat
during digestion.

halibut, bluefish, tuna, cod, flounder, trout, shrimp and
mackerel are all excellent sources of Omega 3 fatty acids.
Canola oil, flaxseed, flaxseed oil, walnuts, and leafy green
vegetables all good sources of plant-based Omega 3 fatty acids.
