Artichoke Facial - A Homemade Facial Recipe.
This body lotion recipe leaves your skin
gently scented and feeling like silk.
1 fresh artichoke heart, well cooked, or canned hearts in water, not oil
2 tsp. light oil (avocado, olive, or canola)
1 tsp. vinegar or fresh lemon juice
To Make This Homemade Facial Recipe:
In a mixing bowl, mash artichoke hearts and mix with oil and vinegar. Stir well
until smooth paste. Massage on face and neck. Let set 10-15 min., rinse with
warm water and pat dry.
Creams and lotions are made by combining
oil-based, which provide nourishing properties, and water-based ingredients
to moisturize the skin. Creams and lotions are the only skin care
applications that moisturize and nourish at the same time.
This bath and
body lotion is a wonderful and extravagant experience for the face.
This homemade facial recipe also makes a perfect gift. Your friends and family will
appreciate the gift of a relaxing and unique bath and body products. That
these gifts came from the heart and your hands makes them even more special.
Packaging and presentation play a predominant role in the gift-giving of
your handmade soaps, salts and lotions. Below are several packaging ideas,
but don’t let this brief list limit your creativity! Here's a quick, inexpensive and easy
packaging idea; Removing labels off empty glass jars. Relish jars, olive
jars and baby food jars all work well. Spray paint the lids with a granite
spray. Lotions packaged in a cobalt bottle or a brushed aluminum bottle
always present well. Or, place your body lotion recipe in decorative bottles.
For an added touch, write the recipe on a little card and tie the recipe
onto the bottle with ribbon or raffia.
