Believe it or not, you use real pumpkin pie spice for this recipe. Don't make
if you're hungry or on a diet :)
1 cup of natural shampoo base
2 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 Tbsp. glycerin
1/2 cup water
To Make This Homemade Shampoo Recipe:
Mix pie spice and water in a heavy bottomed pot and bring to a boil. Let boil
gently for at least 20 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and add basic shampoo
mixture and glycerin. Mix well. Use as you would your regular shampoo.
This shampoo has an absolutely delicious scent
that will bring back those warm feelings of home.
This recipe also makes a perfect gift. Your friends and family will
appreciate the gift of a unique bath and body product. That
this gift came from the heart and your hands makes them even more special.
Packaging and presentation play a predominant role in the gift-giving of
your homemade shampoo recipe. Below are several packaging ideas,
but don’t let this brief list limit your creativity!
Here's a quick, inexpensive and easy packaging idea; Removing labels off empty
glass jars. Relish jars, olive jars and baby food jars all work well. Spray
paint the lids with a granite spray. Shampoo packaged in a cobalt bottle or a
brushed aluminum bottle always present well. Or, place your homemade shampoo
recipe in decorative bottles. For an added touch, write the recipe on a little
card and tie the recipe onto the bottle with ribbon or raffia.
