Over-focused Attention Deficit
Disorder: Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) ADHD.
The problem with this form of Attention Deficit
Disorder is not inattention, but over-attention. People with the
over-focused form of Attention Deficit Disorder tend to get
"stuck" on thoughts or behaviors and they have trouble shifting
their attention from thought to thought.
This Attention Deficit type is often referred to as
Obsessive-Compulsive ADD.
When the Over-focused type is focused on something, they are
focused. Because of the over focus, this type often has difficulty
seeing other options and is known for their inflexibility. This
person has great difficulty going with the flow or cooperating
with others. This type does not make concessions.
The over-focused Attention Deficit Disorder person can be
argumentive on the outside and worry excessively on the inside.
The Over-focused person can become overly upset when things do not
go their way and argue endlessly to get their way.
If they get their mind stuck on something, they will not let go.
This behavior trait is especially trying for the parents of this
ADD type. Living with an over-focused Attention Deficit person can
be extremely difficult and stressful.
Traditional treatments are often ineffective and can make the
symptoms worse. Stimulant medications might cause irritability,
moodiness and anxiety, or can cause the person to become even more
focused on the already over-focused behavior.

Extress relieves the symptoms of impulsivity, temper, anxiety and
compulsiveness. Deprex relieves excess worrying and emotional
rigidity. These three formulas together form a powerful strategy
against the Over-focused type of Attention Deficit Disorder.
Treatment Strategy for Over-Focused ADHD:
Attend: 1 capsule twice daily.
Extress: 2 capsules twice daily.
Deprex: 1 capsule twice daily.
The St. John's Wort and 5-HTP found in Extress and Deprex
increases serotonin availability in the brain. Both are shown to
be effective antidepressant treatments and can be very effective
for this type of Attention Deficit Disorder.
St. John’s Wort is used extensively in Europe and is the most
commonly prescribed antidepressant with the least amount of side
effects.
The Attend formula contains 70 different ingredients aimed toward
neurological functioning including Essential Fatty Acids, GABA,
DL-Phenylalyne, Pycnogenol, 5-HTP, pregnenolone, DMAE and more.
Among other ingredients, the Extress formula contains GABA, DL-PA
and homeopathic remedies. Deprex contains St. John's Wort, DL-Phenylalyne,
GABA and more.
As with all types of Attention Deficit Disorder, a
nutritional eating plan
and exercise regime are also
important aspects of the treatment plan.
**You should not take St. John's Wort or 5-HTP with prescription
antidepressants, as these will lessen the effects of the
antidepressants.
